How to organise receipts
Do you wish you could organise receipts? Do you find that they’re everywhere you look in your house? There’s receipts in the car from filling up with fuel ( and a morning coffee rocket-fuel), receipts left on the kitchen table, your purse is bulging with receipts rather than cash and there’s more receipts in your bag…..but they’re easy to organise.
A quick fix to at least organising receipts and keeping them all in one place is to make a receipt organiser. They can be as elaborate or as simple as you like, as the key point here is to encourage you to use it, because they are instrumental in tracking your spending.
The simplest one is literally to stick some envelopes together. They’re the right size to hold small slips of paper and you can sub-categorise so you know what’s what. I’ve made one with some quick bubble writing to shown the main categories I’d use, this would be enough to get you started-
This is ( obviously) a quick job, but by doing this and keeping it on the inside of a kitchen cupboard door as I have ( or wherever your receipts tend to live) you know they’re all in one place.
